Our Story- Jan 2022

We met during stressful times.  Maura was in a physically abusive marriage, desperately trying to escape.  Darrell and their friend Sharon helped Maura get to safety and rebuild her life. 

Years later, we got married, and continue to live happily ever after.

We founded Empowered Bakery with a mission to empower everyone to reduce their stress and to empower victims of domestic violence.  Empowered Bakery is a California Benefit Coporation that gives 5% of net profits to the National Domestic Violence Hotline.  They provide nationwide services and support to victims and survivors of domestic violence.
